Introducing Lola! She is a gorgeous young mama cat that was rescued from a high kill shelter in southern Illinois with her two kittens to prevent their euthanasia. They have been living in a wonderful foster home - now that her kittens are old enough to be adopted, it is time for this lovely mama to also find her happily ever after.

According to her foster, Lola has come such a long way and they are so proud of her. When she first was placed in her foster home, she was skinny, fragile and scared. She was uncertain in her new environment. Today, however, she is a sweet, trusting, healthy and happy cat with an incredible appetite!

Lola is tolerant of the dogs in her foster home, but is not a huge fan of them invading her personal space. She will let them know not to get too close with a little hiss. She loves the children in her foster home and loves to be pet. Lola is playful and cuddly but is not a big fan of being held or picked up yet. She needs an understanding and compassionate adopter that realizes she had a rough start to her young life before she was rescued. She needs time to adjust and truly feel comfortable. We believe she will continue to improve and thrive in her forever home.

Lola is FIV positive. She would need to be the only cat in a home, live with other FIV positive cats, or possibly live with other non-aggressive cats.

All NAWS cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines.

A Cat Adoption Application is required should you decide you’d like to apply to adopt a NAWS cat. Please complete and submit the application electronically on our website at http://www.nawsus.org.
