Daphne, the dark tortoiseshell, has been in FAN foster care since Thanksgiving 2021. It took some time to know her true personality; most cats need time to decompress when their circumstances change so drastically (for the better!).  

While Daphne does not actively seek attention until she’s warmed up to you, she has learned that being petted feels good. She is very interested in being friends with other kitties and rubs all over them. When with her other cat buddies, she seems much less skittish and anxious. With proper introductions, Daphne will do well in a new forever home with other cats.

What’s in a name? Romans linked their gods to plants and flowers. When Apollo pursued Daphne, her father saves her by turning her into a laurel tree. Apollo in his grief declares, “With your leaves, my victors shall wreath their brows.” Daphne is the symbol for\xa0immortality, while the laurel symbolizes victory.

All our adoptable cats and kittens are:
— spayed / neutered
— vaccinated (rabies & FVRCP)
— tested for FIV & FeLV diseases
— parasite-free (dewormer & flea prevention)
— provided additional veterinarian visits, if needed for any health issues
— conveyed to you with all medical records at time of adoption

2. MEET-N-GREET: Well set up a time for you to get to know each other whether at their foster home and/or Norfolks Catnip Cat Cafe
3. CONTRACT: If you & your cat (s) are a good match, then the adoption proceeds. Contract is completed, signed, fee is paid, and your new furry friend(s) can go home with you!
