?? MEET Sweet Alice! ?? Available for Adoption through Fur the Love of PAWS Rescue. (Read full bio for how to adopt and all info.) My History! Oh Sweet Alice. Sweet Alice got her name the moment I met her at the city shelter. She had the sweetest eyes, the sweetest demeanor and disposition. She just looked at me like shed never knew love before and didnt even want to bother trying to win mine... Defeated, really... Yet, so sweet inspite of that. Alice was taken to the city shelter with 15 other cats and kittens. They were taken in after hours and no info given, so no one knew whose babies went with which mom. Were some of them hers? Yes. Which ones? No clue. So, she was force weaned and so were they... Sad. A situation that never had to happen in the first place if theyd just been spayed or neutered. ? Sweet Alice and the rest waited and waited for homes. Unfortunately they were all black and black/white which means... They take forever and ever and ever to get adopted. While some of us love black kitties, a large majority of adopters want cool colored coats and unique markings, leaving the solids and tuxedos waiting. Its a very true thing that happens with cats and dogs. :( in fact, two of the cats she came in with ARE STILL AT THE CITY SHELTER ON WEEK SIX of waiting in a cage. We had room at the FURcility and pulled three cats at once, and one was Sweet Alice. I chose her because she was so shy and withdrawn, extra easily overlooked. I knew we could bring out her personality and help her find the purrfect home, where she never had to worry ever again about being abandoned or dropped off in a shelter. Shes one of the lucky ones.... ____________________________________________ What kind of Family would I like? ???? ? Sweet Alice is truly amazing. Shes the sweetest (you cannot use this description enough with her!) little soul. Shes very calm natured, laid back and go with the flow. She asks for very little and is just so happy to have a window to sun in, yummy food in the bowl and someone who has lots of time for pets. Shell no doubt be your very best friend and the most grateful little kitty. ? She does like to play by isnt majorly energetic. She will kind of walk around and play with balls and things for awhile on her own. She likes wands and roundabouts and all cat things, but she isnt going to need tons of playtime. A little goes a long way. Your company is what she wants most of all. ? Sweet Alice likes to get away at times and sleep in dark, quiet spaces. Her kind soul needs time to rest. I think shes just so thankful to have a safe space to rest without having to keep one eye open like she used to when she was homeless ? ? Sweet Alices ideal home is a nice relaxed, slow paced one. She wont enjoy tons of visitors or lots of commotion. Shes looking for a family or person who likes to just relax and enjoy time at a home after a long day. Maybe some playtime and then a nap on the lap. ? ?MORE INFO (based on what we see at the FURcility, there is no guarantee, these characteristics may increase or decrease as they adjust in a home - this is just what we have experienced with this cat. 1 low, 10 being high): ENERGY LEVEL 1-10: 3?? AFFECTION LEVEL 1-10: 6?? PLAYFULNESS LEVEL: 4?? UNDERFOOT/ATTACHMENT LEVEL: 3?? ?We are happy to answer any questions you may have, so ask away! ???? SWEET ALICE is fine with children, but with her sensitive and sweet nature, older is best. When my 2 year old comes to FUR, Alice prefers to survey from above and stay in a quite space. A calmer home environment is what she prefers. ? SWEET ALICE is great with other cats. She is very low key and excellent about reading other cats. She would prefer a home with more low key cats. While she likes to engage with play, shes not the rumble and tumble, chase around type. She is submissive and needs a home with other submissive cats for maximum happiness. She literally wouldnt hurt a fly and would be easier bullied by dominant cats. ? SWEET ALICE is fine with dogs. ?? I am litter trained and use a large covered box made by Natures Miracle and clumping non scented, dust free litter. ?? I eat Purina ONE. My Health Stats ?? Sweet Alice is a Domestic Shorthair Black ??2-3 years old ?? Spayed Female ?? 6 lbs. ?? Vaccinated ?? On Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention ?? Tested Negative for FIV/Felv ??
