AGE: 2 years DESCRIPTION: DSH - Chocolate Tabby & White LOCATION: PETS Shelter (114 W Main Street) - Panora, IA MY STORY: Traci was part of an outside cat colony the owner has been working on having the entire colony altered and looking for indoor homes for the friendliest of the kitties. Traci and her sister came to us terrified so they initially spent some time in a foster home learning how good inside life could be. Traci loves, loves, loves the laser light and spring toys and has taught herself to run on the shelters big exercise wheel. She will chase the laser light until she is just worn out and can be found many times carrying the spring toy around in her mouth. She gets along well with other kitties and likes to do the head bumping and rubbing against them to show her friendliness. Although she is not a lap kitty, she really loves attention from the volunteers and visitors. Traci has a habit of swiping with her paw or nipping with her teeth at human hands when she wants attention or she is not done with being petted. We are working on that by simply walking away when she does that. She has an adorable little tabby and white coat with the pinkest of noses and a white spot on the tip of her tail. MORE DETAILS: Inside-only home and must keep claws. The adoption fee for this kitty is $100. Adopt a pair of kitties for $150. Each cat and kitten has been: altered (spayed/neutered), vaccinated (age-appropriate) - rabies and distemper combo, microchipped, tested for FeLV (negative unless previously noted), and treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms. We ask that interested parties fill out a cat adoption questionnaire. Please fill out the questionnaire only if you are seriously considering adopting this sweet kitty. You can get the application by going to our website at "http://www.panorapets.com/adopt" and clicking on the "Cat Adoption Questionnaire" button at the top of the page. Once you have submitted the questionnaire, a volunteer adoption coordinator will contact you usually within 24 hours. Please be patient and thank you for your interest in this kitty. Please note: Upon approval of the adoption questionnaire, we may request a home visit prior to completing the adoption. P.E.T.S. supports the "Paws Need Claws" Campaign. Cats are rather attached to their claws; please do not de-claw your cats.
