Petie and Nutmeg are a mother and son duo. They have remained close their entire lives, cuddling and grooming each other. Nutmeg is very cat selective and is only truly comfortable with Petie. Due to this we feel that they would be happiest as only pets in their home. Petie is more confident and friendly than his mother. He can be picked up, face kissed, belly rubbed and will sit on your lap. Nutmeg enjoys attention, but prefers lighter handling. They both really enjoy playing, and Nutmeg especially gets very excited when a wand toy comes out to play. She loves mouse toys and gets very animated when they are tossed to her. Nutmegs foster home includes quite a few other cats and she has become very stressed. To help her feel more comfortable she is now taking Prozac, but she will not need to remain on the medication after adoption. She only need it if she is forced to live with other cats besides her beloved son Petie. They both could very much use a home of their own, to really feel comfortable and flourish. Petie is 6 years old and Nutmeg is 7, they are both currently located in Holtsville, NY.
