MEET LAVERNE! Can you even with this face? Meet Laverne! Laverne found herself homeless and stuck in Phillys animal control shelter at the reported age of 13. Her former owners surrendered her and requested euthanasia because they found her to have bumps and be excessively itchy. Turns out she had fleas and was allergic to their bites which formed a rash! The shelter took care of the fleas right away and shes been feeling just fine ever since. Laverne has the best little grouch face with crazy ear tufts but is far from a grouch. Her favorite things to do in her foster home are to climb into the window sill and watch the world go by from a safe distance and chat with her foster family. Shell tell you all about her day and pretend to listen while you tell her about yours. She also loves a good chin scratch! Who can resist a good chin scratch? Laverne is currently in foster care with other cats and a few smaller dogs. She gets along with everyone well though we think shed do best with lower-key dogs who are more her old lady speed and not all up in her space. Shes not too into traditional cat toys but loves to lay on a good shoe. Shes a great roommate - neat and great about using her litter box! Laverne is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She has been fully vetted since leaving the shelter. Her blood work was unremarkable which is great for a senior cat. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also FIV/FeLV negative. Interested in adopting her?
