Meet Kit and Kat! These 2 adorable sister siblings (we think) were accepted as relinquished from a Tijuana, Mexico Refugio/shelter.Sadly, the girls arrived in pretty bad condition, emaciated ,and having horrible gastrointestinal issues. We thought we had received a transfer of the 3 month old kittens they had asked for help with. When we received them, we noticed these girls are 6-7mo old and only 2.7 pounds (Kit) and 3 pounds (Kat). The poor girls were very vocal, most likely hungry and stressed from not being able to control their bowel movements and had obviously been dealing with extreme dehydration and the inability of keeping anything in. This, most likely, caused them to be so small. Thankfully, we started treatment right away and, although it was one of the most extreme cases we had seen in a while, we were excited to see changes/improvements on the 3rd day of treatment and so happy for them to finally be able to use the litter box and to stay clean and be comfortable. They will be sterilized mid-May once they have reached a healthy weight. For now, we can say they are total sweethearts with lots of love to give and both seeking attention and love. We are still getting to know them and able to give them free reign of the home. It would be AMAZING if they are adopted together as they seem to have gone through so much together. They are currently residing in our cat adoption center at the PetSmart in Clairemont. If you are interested in adopting these sweethearts who are SO deserving of a forever home of their own where they will know that they are safe, will not go hungry, and will be loved for years to come, please submit an application online at arwob.orgIf you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
