Precious Petal is ready to blossom in her new loving home!

Sometimes a bounty of budding cuteness arrives in a bunch at EHS, as was the case when Petal and her three kittens came into our care. After spending several weeks raising her wee ones, this little mama is now ready to embark on a new, pampered life all her own. 

Understandably shy after being uprooted, day by day, Petal is becoming more comfortable in her new environment. According to her foster, she’s gradually opening up and exploring her surroundings with increased bravery. This gorgeous young lady is spending more and more time on top of furniture and cat trees as opposed to in hiding. When Petal does get a bit scared – and bolts for cover – her recovery time is quick. She’s usually back to herself in no time.

Petal is making strides in the affection department as well. At first wary of human warmth, she’s now more willing to unfurl, drop her defenses, and accept pets on her own terms. Her taste for treats is already fully developed. Like the majority of kitties, Petal has her favourite selections and gobbles them up with glee. In fact, her robust appetite for treats is helping Petal overcome her trust issues on the daily. 

Our lovely tuxedoed gal loves the company of other cats, both while she’s awake or cuddled up in repose. She’s particularly partial to fellow foster feline Monet (whose impressionist namesake had a penchant for painting petals of all varieties, naturally). Without question, a home with another friendly cat (or a few!) would best suit Petal.

The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200 … Or double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Kittens are not spayed or neutered until 5 months of age, but the cost of spay/neuter will be covered as part of the adoption.
