Mother Goose

In shelter Dog

Tampa, FL, 33556
Pet name:
Mother Goose
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Is napping an Olympic sport?

If so, Mother Goose would win all the gold medals!!

This 8 year old American Foxhound gal spends the bulk of her days getting her beauty sleep.

No wonder shes so pretty!

However, she wont let you forget when its time to eat and will sing the song of her people to let you know its time to fill her bowl.

Gussie, as her friends like to call her is 42 pounds, crate, house, and doggy door trained.

She was found as a stray and came into our care frightened and in pain due to hip dysplasia.

She has since blossomed into a trusting pup, and she has recovered from surgery that will allow her to have a happy life free from hip pain.

She enjoys the company of other dogs, especially of the hound persuasion.

She is timid, but is also very interested in meeting new people that want to scratch her chin and velvety ears.

Her perfect home would be one where she has a confident, friendly dog companion, a fenced in yard.

Apartments are not ideal for her due to her twice daily singing for food and abundance of stairs.

Shes all "Gussied" up and ready for her forever family to take her home!

Mother Goose is heartworm positive but can be adopted during treatment if the adopter is local to Tampa Bay.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
