We have a cute family of 4 female gerbils who are 10 months old. Gerbils are fascinating pets and so much fun to observe building their homes and interacting with each other.

Gerbils are curious and not easily startled. They do well in active households. They are gentle, social and enjoy living in pairs and sometimes trios.

They need a habitat with a solid floor and large enough for a food dish, water bottle and hiding area. A habitat with bars spaced closely together is necessary. They enjoy multi-level homes. They can use wheels that have solid surfaces.
