She is a 4-year-old Labrador/Husky mix who has had her whole life turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away. Sadly, she was adopted by a family member but that didnt last long because the resident dog didnt like her, so Abigail was sent to a kill shelter. We saved her from the euthanasia list and will work to find her the best forever home.

Abigail is a sweet and sensitive girl who enjoys playing with her foster doggie siblings, and de-stuffing toys. She is a huge fan of hard chew toys too. She really likes to ride in the car, and she walks well on a leash and harness.

Abigail is a really good girl, but she can be a little jumpy and skittish until she gets to know someone and who could blame her for being a little sensitive after going through what she has gone through. She is crate trained and she knows that it is her safe space.

Abigail will do best in a calm home with a family that is willing to work with her and will allow her time to warm up and build trust. She likes kids but will do best with older, respectful children. She is dog friendly, but they must have proper introductions and she really doesnt like dogs that jump in her face or at her. She will need a securely fenced yard.

Abigail is overall healthy but is currently being treated for Heartworms. The treatments have begun so she will be available for Foster to Adopt, which allows us to continue to pay for the treatment while you provide a loving and supportive home. When the treatment is completed, you will officially adopt!

If you are interested in meeting this sweet girl, just complete the online application and a volunteer will be in contact. If you have any questions, email them to cabarruspets@gmail.com

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
