Mimi does. You wont meet a sweeter nor peppier GSD than Mimi. Shes been through a lot, but shes remained in great spirits and is always willing to cover you in kisses.Mimis human was killed in a car accident and she was taken to a shelter by the extended family. We rescued her and noticed she was wobbly in the rear, so she went to see our vet. She had an exam, blood work, and x-rays, but our vet said she needed to see a specialist, so we scheduled an appointment with a really well known neurologist. He wanted to do a genetic test for DM before doing an MRI, but she didnt have the genes, so we kept moving forward.Mimi had an MRI that showed spinal surgery was an option which could better her life, so she went to Dr. Berry at Southern California Veterinary Specialty Hospital for a hemilaminectomy. Her surgery was a great success! So much so that instead of using a sling to help her walk because her back legs were weak, we used a sling to help keep her under 30mph, as she had use of her back legs and wanted to gogogogogo! Shes been doing therapy to strengthen her back legs, is doing great, has a great attitude, and enjoys hanging out in the yard with her toys. We know what an amazing soul she is and we know someone else out there will see what we see: a ridiculously sweet, gentle, energetic, fun, lovable girl who isnt going to let a medical issue slow her down one bit. This classic beauty is around 6 years old, great with her people, and gets along with other dogs. She knows sit and down, is easy on a leash, and cant wait to have a family again. She can get protective of what she thinks is hers, so shed do best with a GSD savvy family. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
