In shelter Dog

Millville, UT, 84326
Pet name:
German Shepherd Dog
Coat length:
Kita is a Big girl--about 90 lbs. She is very strong. She came to Four Paws when her owners could no longer keep her, and they were very sad to have to give her up. they told us this about her:
Her full name is Makita but she knows Kita best. She knows "sit" and "lay down". She is completely house trained. She does not like running water, or fireworks and thunder, or getting her nails trimmed. She pulls on the leash, and does better with a harness or halter. She can slip out of a collar and go "visiting"--typical husky and GSD behavior--and wont come back unless you have hot dogs. She definitely needs a secure fenced yard so she can run safely off-leash and cant wander. She plays rough, so she might knock over smaller children. She likes to play with other dogs that are also energetic. She has the energy to join her people on long walks/runs/hikes, but then likes to curl up on the couch afterwards. She loves tennis balls.

Kita is looking for a forever family to call her own. Her adoption fee is $200, which includes spay surgery, microchip, and vaccinations (parvo/distemper and rabies.) If you would like to meet this dog, please email us: or leave a message @ 435-764-3534. Please be patient with us getting back to you as we are all volunteers with full-time jobs. Thanks for your interest in this wonderful dog!!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
