Marly would like to thank everyone who donated towards her neurology visit and announce that she’s still searching for her extra special forever home! Marly was surrendered to Take Paws in January of this year when her owners could no longer care for her. She would enjoy a yard and a canine playmate, but what she really needs is a loving family to call her own. Marly is a happy & healthy dog, but she does have seizures. They’re well controlled on inexpensive daily medication, but she will need to stay on this medication forever and will need to have the dosage checked regularly. Her MRI & spinal tap reports show that Marly was just born with a misshapen skull. This is the reason for her seizures, endearing little head tilt, and smaller right eye. The good news is, Marly has no idea! Nothing can stop her joie de vivre. She’s a happy and highly adaptable girl who goes with the flow and just wants to play and be loved. Marly is a bonafide supermutt who will charm you with her happy-go-lucky and sweet nature. She’s around 3 years old and a compact 50 pounds. She’s looking for a family who will understand her condition, can keep up with her medical needs, and will love her unconditionally the way she’ll love them back! PLEASE READ BELOW: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt **Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescues vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information. 2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match! For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq *Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed.
