Description:
Stella is a beautiful and loving golden shepherd who simply wants to lay right at your feet all day. She has been through a lot in the last few weeks, as she came into Stanislaus Shelter with a badly infected uterus and pneumonia (which could have been prevented by spaying her earlier in life). We are happy to say that she made a wonderful recovery and is living a happy life in foster care. This girl has been through so much and yet her beautiful personality has always shined through. She is routinely the favorite at her vet clinic for always smiling and wagging her tail even when it is clear that she is in pain.

During her time in foster care, Stella has lived with several dogs and a couple dog-savvy cats. She tolerates other dogs, she likes them to give her space and she can be vocal in telling them so. But with the dogs she is in foster care with they respect her communication and so she simply goes on pretending that they dont exist. The one exception was a particularly submissive smaller dog who she actually seemed to be forming a friendship with and was found on several occasions cuddling. For cats, only dog-savvy adult cats are recommended at this time. She ignores them most of the time, but every once in a while you get the sense that she thinks that little kitten might make for a nice snack :P She is absolutely loving of all humans and would be fine with almost any children as long as they dont torture her too badly - she deserves better than that.

Stella is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and ready to meet you. Come make this golden girls golden years spectacular with your company.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
