Description:
Meet beautiful Miss Baker! She is an older lady, we think probably about 4 years old, who is ready to live out the rest of her life with a family! She is the perfect dog for hanging out at home, going for neighborhood walks and cuddling up on the couch.

Miss Baker is a gorgeous shepherd mix and you can tell by how smart she is! She is very good motivated and will do whatever you ask for a yummytreat. She already knows how to sit and could likely pick up other basic commands really quickly. She walks well on leash but can pull on leash when excited. Watch her get loved on:https://youtu.be/-ItZX6xufGE

Miss Baker is sweet and affectionate! She loves humans including kiddos. She loves to cuddle and get all the attention. She even loves to be brushed! Check out her grooming session: https://youtu.be/wocbPZBXa4g

She loves to soak up all the pets and wants to be in a home where she can be the center of attention. She passed an initial cat test and didnt pay the cat any attention, but we think she would be best as an only pet. She can be dog selective, meaning she picks who she likes and who she doesnt. She can walk by other dogs on a walk but would need slow introductions to other dogs.

Miss Baker has a balanced energy level and could keep on walks without needing to run marathons. She would love a backyard to sniff around in and sunbathe. She is lower energy and would be the perfect pal to just hang out around the house!

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
