Lyla is a very affectionate Golden Retriever mix who was born in December of 2018. This girl is looking for a new home with no children. Lyla does get along with other dogs but because she does NOT like to share her food or toys, she needs to be an only dog.

Lyla LOVES to spend time outside on nice days so a fenced yard is a must!

Lyla does some resource guarding so she would not fit in a home with children due to this personality trait. Lyla, who already knows some basic commands, is a smart girl who thrives on treats and positive reinforcement. Due to events in her past, she does not like anyone touching her neck and collar. She comes fully house trained and vetted!! Lyla may need a few minutes to warm up to new people, especially men, but she is able to adjust quickly! If you have the time and patience to help Lyla become her best self, fill out an application today!

Please note: Lyla has guarding issues and will need to be placed in a home with prior dog experience. Adopter also will be required to work with our positive reinforcement trainer so her treatment plan to address her guarding tendencies can continue in the adoptive home. Also no children in the home.

Lyla is a bit chubby so does need to be on a lower calorie kibble and exercised/walked daily.

The suggested adoption donation for Lyla is $365, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue.
