Meet Melly

Loving, quiet, gentle

Melly is a 9.5 year female fawn who has swooped in to steal our hearts. This senior girl is big and loving albeit a bit timid at first with new introductions. Little is known about her history other than she was handed to the shelter from a domestic violence situation. She is currently fostered with a single foster mama, 2 males (dane and lab pitty mix) and another female foster dane. She is good with all and is not the least bit interested in Foster mama’s cats for which they are thankful.

Melly came to us with a couple of suspicious bumps which have been removed, biopsied and found to be benign. She also had a bad skin infection which is clearing up nicely with meds, baths, flea control and good foods. This big ol girl has signs of significant arthritis that is being managed with meds and orthopedic beds to chill on.

Melly had a tough time in the kennels for boarding but is coming out of her shell nicely since being in a home. She is very loving and even a little playful (as much as she can be). She is a little timid with first time visitors, but warms us nicely with slow calm introductions.

Won’t you think about giving this grand lady a loving retirement?

Melly has been spayed, micrchipped, is heart worm negative, and UTD on shots and preventatives.

Melly’s adoption is $300. To read over our adoption coverage area and requirements before applying, please go to www.nwflgdr.com/adopt.

Please note: NWFLGDR does not transport. All approved adopters are required to pick up the dog from his or her foster family in person. In addition, we do not hold dogs for approved adopters.
