Its not often that one sees a shelter dog as glorious as Ruby. This gorgeous redhead with long, velvet ears is a bit over a year old and weighs 70 pounds. She is quite tall (she has the long legs of a runway model) and could possibly have some Great Dane in her. Ruby was brought to the shelter when her owner was cited for having too many dogs. The owner told us that Ruby is great with people, including children, and that she loves to play. She was friendly with other dogs of all sizes in the home, and has enjoyed her kennelmates here at the shelter. With those amazing gams, she will make a terrific hiking companion. Ruby exhibited some prey drive in the prior home, so she would probably do best in a home without livestock, particularly chickens. Come meet this uniquely beautiful dog today. If you have other dogs at home, we encourage you to bring them along for a meet and greet. Rubys adoption fee is $130. She is spayed and microchipped and has age-appropriate vaccinations. A licensing fee may apply. Santa Fe Animal Shelter is proud to partner with GoodPup! Dogs learn best in familiar, comfortable environments with few distractions, so GoodPup training happens at home.
