Description:
Sweet and beautiful Willow is sure to impress you with her good behavior and calm temperament. Willow is a young Pyr girl, but its clear she has lived in a house with some training as she’s very good with her commands and even waits patiently at the door before you open it. Willow is treat motivated but doesn’t always need a treat to do as she is told. Like a typical Pyr, Willow likes to explore the yard for ways out of the fencing and digging seems to be her tactic of choice so a home with secure solid fencing is a must for this adventurous girl. Willow is good with cats and does well with other dogs though she is learning proper manners when it comes to socializing. Another young male dog would make a great companion for her. Willow loves meeting new people and is great with kids but will jump occasionally so any human siblings should be old enough to be sturdy on their feet and know proper behavior around dogs. Willow absolutely loves to be brushed, she loves the car and enjoys playing with her toys and balls. She brings all the great things we love about puppies without the downside of razor sharp puppy teeth chewing up your house as she prefers to chew on her own toys or Benebone :) Willow has a great temperament and calm demeanor for a dog her age. She is very polite and takes treats very gently. She loves doing zoomies in the yard and keeping herself entertained by tossing the ball around on her own. A moderately active home, with a big securely fenced in yard and people who have endless love to give is exactly what this wonderful girl is looking for. If that sounds like your home, apply for Willow today!

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
