You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. STARLA Breed: whippet-hound mix (EDIT ~ If the DNA report from one of her pups adopters is accurate, hound + jack russell + bully/boxer is her mix!!) Age: approx. 4 years Weight: 45 pounds Adoption Fee: $275 Vetting Status: Spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm negative and maintained on preventatives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Starla is silly, sleek, & single -- finally! She came to rescue from a municipal shelter where she & her 9 (yes, nine!) little pups had been brought as strays. Life as a rescue dog has rocked, but Starla is done being a mom & ready to find a new furever family of her very own. Starla is okay with most other dogs, but would request she be the only dog (if possible). She prefers her canine playmates active, but NOT bossy or otherwise likely to clash with Starlas status as "Queen Bee". People of all types are awesome, but if kids are in the picture.... older, school age humans are best (young kids might get accidentally knocked over). A family cat or small furry pet is likely to trigger her hunting hound side, so Starla is seeking a furever family without those please. Starla is crate trained, house-trained, & knows how to use a doggie door! Being a young VERY athletic girl, Starla will do best in an active home who has a securely fenced yard... or is willing to 110% commit to regular daily leash walking/running so she can work out all her happy wiggles. Bonus points if you have any stuffy toys or dental chews to share? If you think Starla is the dog for you, please fill out an adoption application today! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ STARLA is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption! 9/27/22 11:43 AM
