Description:
Aida is a senior un-spayed female that was rescued from Levy County Animal Shelter. She was picked up as a stray and went unclaimed. Aida is thought to be between 10-12 yrs of age. She appears to be deaf, has cataracts and may also be blind in one eye. She was with us for a couple of days but the kennel was stressful for her. One of our volunteers was able to take her home to foster her until she can find a more permanent home for her in her final years.

Aida has now been in her new foster home for several days. Her Foster mom has updated us as to how she is doing. The family already has 4 other dogs and Aida seems to love being with them. She gets around ok but slips occasionally. She is definitely house trained, does not require a crate and is described as being very sweet. She has a very good appetite, is not attention seeking and loves to just lounge around and sleep a lot, but will also play a bit with a plush toy. She also gets very excited though when the family comes home after being away.

Aida is a beautiful senior dog. We are hoping someone will be able to adopt this sweetheart and give her a permanent loving home so she can feel safe and secure in her final stages of life.
