FOSTER COMMENTS:

Terra is a beautiful 1.5 years old female, short haired, Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix. She has those gorgeous blue eyes with white, tan, black fur and weighs 40 pounds. Terra is a priceless girl who LOVES, LOVES people!

Terra is a very high-energy, young playful dog who needs an experienced dog owner. She has come a long way with her training but will need continued training and confidence building to become the best dog possible.

Terra is housebroken and needs to go out at a minimum, every 8 hours. Her manners are great in the home so she does not need a crate. Terra is a sofa dog though will sleep on her bed at night. Exercise is very important for Terra. She needs walks, play time in a fenced yard(with a canine buddy who likes to play would be optimal) and work puzzles to keep her mind active.

Terra will do best with two adults in the home (double the love and attention!), older children, a fenced yard, daily walks to smell the world, car rides when possible, and perhaps a more mature dog in the home to encourage playing and interaction.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:

When first admitted to BFPA, we discovered that Terra was pregnant. The vet confirmed she was very young and unfortunately her pups did not survive. Terra was also heartworm positive and treated. She is now looking for her forever home.

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized. Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions. We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
