Description:
Mario and Gidget are a bonded pair that would LOVE to find their forever home together! Mario is the larger dog, who is a Jindo and about 7 years old. Gidget is a chihuahua mix and about 5 years old.

Mario was rescued a few years ago from the Yulin Festival in China. He is very timid of new people but lets all staff and some volunteers pet and walk him no problem, he even rolls over for belly rubs! In 2019 Mario really came out of his shell living in the shelters lobby, especially when he met his side kick Gidget. She was left in a crate at our shelter and has been living like royalty ever since!
Gidget is very friendly and loves to be held and will cuddle up to you and give you kisses. She has really helped Marios true personality come out. They have formed a truly special bond. When they are walked separately they cry for each other, even when in the company of other dogs or people.

We are looking for a patient family willing to take the time to get to know these two and love them for who they are. The family would need to come in at least once a week for a month so that they can get used to and comfortable with the people. They both have amazing personalities and are so loved by the staff, volunteers and everyone that visits! As much as we love having them at the shelter, we know they would be much happier in a home of their own.
