Description:
Meet Taz, an adorable 7-month-old puppy. She is full of life and puppy energy. She currently weighs around 40 pounds and therefore, will be in the large size range (50 - 100 pounds) when full grown. She is a black and white short haired labrador retriever/hound mix. Using the right guidance with consistency, repetition, and patience, will help her with the skills she needs to master. Cheerful praise and lots of treats will go a long way in helping her master those skills. It will take time and energy but the result will be worth it. Since we do not know how much training she has had, it would be best to start at the beginning with house, crate, and leash training. She, like most pups will be a quick learner once routines are established. Before she can begin to spend time in a crate, she will need to have an established bathroom routine (always after eating, playing, sleeping, and before bedtime). She will also need plenty of exercise and lots of attention. Having established a bathroom routine, been given lots of attention and exercise, Taz will be ready to be introduced to her new crate which must be a cozy, warm, and positive place. In the beginning she will explore it and use it for short periods of time. Eventually, the time can be increased based on her comfortableness with this second home.Daily short walks (under thirty minutes) will be a good opportunity to work on leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to her with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along her walk. Please note: She may not be a running companion until at least age one when her growth plate closes.Taz will also appreciate free time in the back yard. Keeping her mind active with activities that provide physical and mental stimulation will prevent boredom.Taz will need to be with a family that will give her lots of affection and attention. In return, that family will get to see her blossom into an affectionate and devoted dog.Are you willing to commit to the time and energy needed to raise this puppy so that she can reach her full potential of being a loving, devoted companion? If yes, read on.The adoption fee for Taz is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
