Sage is a darling and sweet girl who is coming out of her shell daily in foster care. She is a one year old lab spaniel mix with lanky legs, a silly smile , and loves everyone! She is dog friendly, kid friendly, and cat friendly though she is interested in playing with the kitties. Sage likes toys, can play fetch, and met all humans and animals, including horses, at our last adoption event wonderfully! All that said, the entire world is new to Sage and she needs a patient foster-to-adopt or adoptive home who is ready to help her find confidence and security. She has a gentle soul and jumps at loud noises but looks to her people for guidance. For now this makes her a flight risk as she figures it all out. A firm grip on the leash and a fenced in yard will be a must. She walks great in a leash and picking up training quickly. She is treat motivated! Potty training has been a challenge as she’s fearful to pee in front of people. Pooping on a leash hasn’t been an issue. With consistency, decompression, and maybe playful dog friend(s) to follow she would make quicker steps to mastering potty training. The car scares her but I think she just needs some practice with positive reinforce… aka - pup cup adventures just because! What does Sage need? Sage needs a patient home that is not too loud and crazy with a pet paw-rent around more than not to help her build a confident foundation. Someone she can follow, watch, and love on. Sage will be an awesome house pup, hiking buddy, and excursion companion with your help!

** All of our Wigglers are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, hw tested/treated, and on preventatives. We require receipts spanning 2 consistent years of HW preventatives for already owned pets, UTD on shots, and spay/neuter in order to adopt. Please read their description above closely.
