Im your shadow and love to be near my humans. I served a family for over 8 yrs and now, with a new puppy added to the mix, I am out of a pet job. I was not a fan of the new arrival, so I got the boot!! I could be all ""Boo Hoo"" is me but I think when we meet youll agree I have a sweet, sunny, doting disposition. Im a happy, fairly carefree girl who still has some spunk, playfulness and certainly love to share. A good size for most laps and ages at 41lbs, I am polite and pretty easy to work with. You should have seen how much fun I had when one of the volunteers started to really engage me by rubbing my belly and encouraging me to run and play with her. She was a lot of fun and I also enjoyed relaxing and being right by her side. I met several dogs during photo time and folks said I was a bit selective. Some I liked and others I might give a snap of warning letting them know they were too close and or I was not comfortable with them. I was out for another photo shoot last month and I was off leash with a couple of dogs and liked both of them. Go figure! I found one really super good friend on this outing who was a 60lb male, labby mix, Hennessey. He and I sought shade under a tree and really enjoyed each others company. Another male I really, really liked and with whom I tried to engage in light wrestling and playing decided he did not like me too much- kind of hurt my feelings. In any event, Im a good girl who would be ideally suited for folks of most ages. I have a gentle disposition and did I mention I love my people? I sure hope youll ask for me soon. The shelter is super, super full and dogs like me who are even slightly dog selective quickly run out of options. Thank you for considering me for your next companion pet. Riley
