Willow is a beautiful young (18 months to 3 years) girl weighing about 35 to 40lbs. She is beautiful with sleek black hair and spotted legs. Definitely a head turner.
Willow is great with other dogs, in fact she needs to go into a home with other dogs to make her happiest. She is a rough player and likes to play with her mouth as many young dogs do. She needs a dog that likes to rough house and can help her get her energy out. Willow is shy with people and it is going to take her some time to warm up to new people, whereas she is great with other dogs and the other dog will help her warm up to people quicker.
She is a great adventure buddy, as she loves to be outdoors and loves to swim and play in any water she can find. You can often find her rolling around in our kiddy pools during her time in the play yard.
Willow can be territorial at times with new people as she is nervous with strangers, she will need an owner who understands how to introduce new people to her in the proper way and will be willing to inform guest that they will need to respect her space and be patient with her.
She would do best in a home with a fenced yard, however she does walk very well on leash and is used to walking with other dogs. She sometimes can be reactive towards squirrels or birds but knows the leave it command. We feel strongly that Willow will be her best self in a home with another playful dog who she can learn from and gain confidence from.
Because of her nervousness we are suggesting a home with no small children who might not understand that she needs time to get to know them before they can play with her.
