Chicken wing, chicken wing, hotdog and bologna; CHICKEN & MACARONI, chilling with our homies! 

Meet they dynamic duo of Chicken (black pup) and Macaroni (white/black pup)! Chicken and Macaroni are litter mates despite looking so different; these girls are about 8 months old (5-6 months old when they entered rescue care). We arent certain what these girls are mixed with; though our best educated guess is some kind of Labrador/Hound mixes. Chicken is a low rider and much shorter than her sister (Bassett Hound possibly) and Macaroni is all legs with ears! These sweeties came to us through ARATT (Animal Rescue Assistance Team TN) as owner surrenders (their mother was fixed to prevent any future litters). The girls mother is a Labrador Mix (unsure of her exact mix) and the father was unknown, so they are a true Heinz57 mixed breed! Chicken and Macaroni seem to get along well with other dogs and are enjoying group playtime at the rescue. They get along with each other wonderfully, and have gotten along well with the other dogs they have been introduced to in the rescue. Chicken loves toys and is often found carrying one of her favorites around. Macaroni also likes toys, but prefers to play with the other dogs instead. They have not met any cats yet, but generally puppies adapt well when meeting feline friends who are dog-savvy and willing to set some boundaries. Chicken and Macaroni both love children and have a blast playing with our resident 5 year old AJ. Macaroni is a little bit gentler with AJ (because she is his height), while Chicken has to jump up to meet his face for kisses. The girls are not potty trained yet (they have been living outdoors up until entering rescue care) and are getting used to the dog door in their indoor/outdoor run. They are learning how to ride in vehicles and are working on crate training and leash walking too. You would definitely have to put in some training efforts, but Chicken and Macaroni appear to be bright little ladies.
