Description:
Zuzu is a 3 year old, 45 lb. lab mix. She has recently arrived from KS with her 3 puppies but they are weaned and she is ready to go live her best life unemcumbered by children!

Zuzu is a very sweet girl who loves people, once she gets to know you. Zuzu loves kids, but with how excited she gets she can be a little mouthy, especially when toys are involved. She can be pretty nudgy also but we have been working on it. She would do best in a home with kids 10 & older. Zuzu does need to be an ONLY pet. She does not like to share her hoomans or her toys. She does have a high prey drive, so NO small animals either. Zuzu is completely potty trained, listens pretty well & knows some basic commands, which we have been working on. Walks good on a leash. We use a slip lead harness on her. She absolutely loves her stuffed toys to death & would love it if you could play fetch with her all day. She also makes a great office dog. Attention attention attention is all she wants from her hoomans day & night.

The adoption fee is $350 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.

Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission. If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee. It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.

*****We are currently operating by appointment only during the social distancing stage of quarantine. If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal. If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.
