GENERAL INFO ABOUT PERSONALITY: Sugar is an energetic and happy lab mix who loves to play fetch and run around in the yard. Sugar had a litter of puppies in 2020 here at the shelter.

She was recently returned for becoming dog reactive. She started to exhibit some behaviors that were challenging for her previous owners. When she sees another dog, she will start to pull on her leash and become vocal.

Sugar needs training on walking nicely on leash and needs to learn how to remain calm around other dogs. We will be requiring a fenced yard for her as she is very energetic and needs to be able to run around to blow off steam.

However, Sugar has been doing well with meeting other dogs off leash in the yard. She likes to "rule the roost" so she would be best paired with a neutral, easy going dog.

Sugar knows the basics like sit and is responsive to her name and training. We think she should be relatively easy to train once you establish a bond with her.

Sugar is currently on a diet to shed some of her "baby weight." She is a lovely girl who is smart, friendly and just looking for someone to give her the chance she deserves.
