Meet Charlie Blackwood!

Hi, Im Charlie Blackwood! Im a 55 lb, 5 year old Labradoodle who came as a breeder surrender. If you like to sit by a warm fire with a good book, Im your girl! I love to lounge around and be in the same room as my people. Im not a fan of high activity but love a family who is chill.

My ideal home would be a family with older or no kiddos. Someone who is home a lot so Im not alone too much, and people who like a calm house. I love having another dog friend, so it would be great if you already have a kind furry playmate for me!

I had a hard start at life, so it takes a long time for me to warm up to you. I also have some quirky behaviors, like not wanting to come into the house after potty breaks. I will need an adopter who is patient and understands the needs of someone like me, a dog who just had a rough start. Im sweet and want so badly to love and trust humans! Im a great girl once you give me a chance.

To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at It doesnt obligate you, but it is the first step. We dont get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
