Description:
Millet is a gentle soul with such a photogenic face. She is about 5 years old and we think she is a Lab and Anatolian Shepherd mix. She is affectionate, friendly and lives for human attention. She just wants to be with her people. She is medium to low energy and would be happiest with a human to follow around and nap near all day. She has soft fur and loves belly rubs, but isnt much of a cuddler or furniture dog. She is a true homebody who bonds closely to her people but prefers being in your vicinity versus directly on top of you. She is gentle and sweet, enjoys her walks, and takes treats well. Millet is housetrained in her foster home and sleeps in her crate over night. She loves to follow her foster mom around the house and would love a family where someone works from home or can bring her to work with them. Millet has a loud bark and will let you know if there are any intruders passing by. She likes to tell everyone what she thinks so is not suited for condos or apartments with noise restrictions. She respects the space of her fellow resident foster kitties but will bark at them sometimes. With time, patience, and a gradual introduction, she could live in a home with cats. Millet has lived with a few other dogs and was polite and had fun playing with them, but also would be happy as the only pet in your home. Millet had surgery on one of her knees a few weeks ago and has since recovered only for us to discover she now needs surgery on the other knee. She is now happily recovering in her foster home and will be ready for adoption in September. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Millet, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today!
