People say that the day an animal gets rescued is the most stressful day of its life. That’s true. We see it all the time when we intake new bunnies. They’re confused, in an entirely new environment, and ripped away from everything they’ve ever known - no matter how bad their living situation was. When we rescued Virgil and her litter mates from a packed guinea pig cage, she was stressed out. But she was also grateful. Her foster says, “Virgil the Girl (working on a rework of her name) is very very friendly. Her coat is in bad shape and shes little but she doesnt seem to have any injuries. I cant believe they were being caged like that and didnt just fight all the time!” Photos below are of our gentle Virgil coming home (a little loopy) after her spay. She couldn’t be more of a gentler soul and we are so glad she survived countless months in horrible conditions. We wouldn’t wish her past on any bunny. Consider fostering to adopt her here: https://forms.gle/xatrAFuJh65GYqTG9 **We have lots of bunnies available for adoption or foster to adopt. If you dont find your perfect match on our PetFinder pages, contact us, and we will use our matchmaking skills to find the best fit! Fosters get to know each bunny very well, so we can recommend bunnies for you based on their temperament and your lifestyle (e.g., single, married with kids, house/apartment, other pets, etc.). Our goal is to find each bunny a furever home and have happy bun parents!**
