Pet name:
White / Cream
Piper, a Maltese, was found running down a busy street in NJ. Dont let her little white dog looks fool you, she is super fast for a small dog!

We think Piper is about five years young, and she weighs just over eight pounds. Pipers former family decided that they just did not want her back once she was found.

Despite her sad past, Piper is now happy, healthy, completely vetted, spayed, and ready for the home she truly deserves.

Piper likes other dogs as long as they give her a little space when she is first getting to know them. This cute little girl is on the tough side, and does enjoy barking at the resident cats in her foster home, but is not at all aggressive.

We do not know her history, but it does take Piper a bit to trust new people. Once she does, she loves napping on the couch with her human friends, giving hugs when she is picked up, and getting belly rubs. On her own terms, of course.

Piper also enjoys spending time out in the yard with her foster mom and the other resident dogs (while she is on a long lead since she is small enough to escape under the fence and can run faster than her foster mom).

Due to her history of running away, and her initial insecurities when meeting new people, we will not place Piper in a home with young children, or that does not have a secure yard. Our sweet girl deserves better this time around.

If youre kind, understanding, loving, patient, responsible, and are looking for a good little friend, you just found her.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
