Description:
Hello folks, my name is Hollis and I am a 12 year young mix that was lucky enough to be rescued with a 12 year young English Setter, Becca. Unfortunately Becca and I can’t tell our rescuers what life was like before we were found locked in a house, starving and abandoned in East Texas. When the Lake Patrol found us, thanks to some neighbors, we were very emaciated and in really bad shape. Luckily SWESR took us both into rescue, took care of all of our vetting needs and found us great foster homes where we are being well taken care of.

You see, the thing is, I really don’t like to share my foster mom with other dogs and there are 8 of us canines in this house. Soooo, I am looking for a Furever Foster or adopter who will give me all of the attention. I am housetrained and learned to use the doggy door the first day in my house. Walks are ok and I don’t pull like most Setters, but mostly I just like to lay on the couch or a comfy dog bed where I can see my people at all times. It was really scary being locked up without food and I get anxious when I am locked in a room without my people. I am ok in a crate for a little while, as long as I can see you, but really prefer to be closer to you. I am not really a snuggly lap dog, though I am not opposed to being petted.

I am spayed and up to date on my shots. If you are a home looking for an only dog, would you open your heart and home to a senior dog that needs a soft, lovable place to spend the rest of my days?

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
