Description:
Hi Im Lizzie, Im special girl. My foster mom says Im a sweetheart that had a rough start. I was sick with parvo when i was brought into the shelter as a stray. Once recovered from parvo, I was still having some trouble with eating, so an exploratory surgery was done.

They found that i had Intussusception, which is a condition where the intestines start telescoping into themselves (likely caused from the parvo i previously had). The vet removed the effected parts, which included half of my colon and some of my intestines. Because of this, we are still learning what normal bowel movements will look like for me. I am currently on a prescription i/d food to help with my digestion. My ideal home will need to understand this and be willing to work on finding what works best for my health.

As for kids, I have been around a 7 year old briefly and we did great together. We played and got along fine and I give lots of kisses. I love to get in your lap and cuddle.

Im pretty energetic since Im is still young, I walk well on a leash I know the command "sit." Im kennel trained and my foster mom says Im doing great with house training. I am dog friendly and love to play with other dogs. I am also treat motivated. I have a great zest for life. If you have more questions or would like to meet me please email foster@kcpetproject.org
