Do you like sleeping all night, the comfortable contentedness of companionship, and the wisdom that only age and experience can provide? Then you are going to LOVE our girl, Mimi. She loves to kick back on the couch and/or kick up her heels in the yard. This is a dog who can do both!!

Mimi is an 11 year old, 55 pound shepherd-mix princess. She knows what she wants, and that is to live the only-child lifestyle. Mimi would do best in a home without other dogs, cats, or children.

Mimi is very vocal and loves people – as a mature and wise senior gal, she will be the first to tell you to clean your plate and get plenty of rest. Mimi is slang for ‘mignon’ (cute) in French -- those perky ears and knowing eyes sure fit the bill. This cutie is ready to bring some calm and nurturing energy into your life.

Mimis date of birth is 3/1/2011.

Mimi is eligible for our Senior Dog Adoption Reimbursement Program! For select senior dogs FCAR will offer a senior reimbursement program of maximum of $300 per year for the life of the animal. Qualifying purchases include only the following items: wellness exam, annual vaccinations including Bordetella, and heartworm prevention. Adopter is responsible for taking the animal to their veterinarian for all services. Once the service is received and paid for, adopters can submit copies of their receipts to and we will send them a check, maximum reimbursement in 12 month time frame is $300.

All of our rescues are rehabilitated and once healthy are available for an adoption fee of $95 for cats and dogs. This fee includes:

• Extensive medical health check by a licensed veterinarian
• Up to date on all vaccinations. Puppies/kittens may require some additional booster shots which we will pay for if coordinated through us and our veterinarian
• Spayed/Neutered
• Microchipped
• 30 day pet health guarantee (*Must follow process provided at time of adoption.)
• 30 day money back guarantee

Our goal is to find loving homes for all our rescued animals. Because we care about our rescues and their future, some animals have certain new family requirements before they can be released to their new home. Requirements for adoption could include the following:

• Fenced yard (required for most dogs) and home inspection for all animals; we will complete an onsite fence/home check prior to completing the adoption. *Fenced yard required. (We do not accept invisible fences.)
• Veterinary reference for previous pet owners (must be/have been current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention)
• If no previous veterinary history, purchase of 6 month heartworm prevention
• If renting, verification with Landlord on acceptability of pets and any restrictions, pet deposit, etc.
• Meet and greet with current pets to ensure compatibility

Note: We will call your current/previous veterinarian to verify that you have a history of providing vaccinations and heartworm prevention for your animal(s). We do a physical home/fence inspection prior to completing the adoption if a fence is required.
