Description:
Located in Portland area. Toby and his mom Violet are an adorable, bonded, pair of pom-chi dogs. We are giving our best guesstimate on breed. They were pulled from a high kill shelter in Southern CA. They were fostered in S Ca and have now made their way to the PNW. Toby is friendly and outgoing. He loves treats, loves to cuddle up on your lap. Violet has an adorable underbite. She was terrified at the loud shelter and really clung to Toby until they were rescued. They are crate trained. She is cuddly and sweet, but may be a bit more shy initially. They are good with other dogs and Toby will bark at cats but if they hiss at him, he runs away. He can learn to get along with felines. Toby and Vi are both wonderful with children in CA they were with kids aged 6, 10, 12, 14- never showed any aggression, not even a curled lip. They have done well with a couple of older dogs onsite. Foster thinks they will be good with dogs of all sizes as long as they dont get overwhelmed with crazy hyper dogs - they tend to show the typical small dog behavior - they may growl a bit and bark - but once they settle in, they are fine interacting with other dogs. Toby is more confident than his mom Violet. They love each very much, and we would like to see them go to a home together. Violet looks to Toby and gets her confidence from him. They ride well in the car... they are good in a crate. We believe they are mostly potty trained - but should be watched in a new home to make sure they know the rules. Violet has a heart murmur, but that will not prevent her from having a full life of fun!
