Description:
Are you looking for a campanion dog? A dog to be your best friend? Look no further! Kiki is just that. Velcro dog, loves to have fun, perfect WFH friend, couch buddy and walking partner. Kiki is just five years young and looking for a loving human to give her a second chance at a comfy life. This lady previously lived outdoors and was a protective mama pup, but was also sweet and playful when around people she was comfortable with. Since arriving at the shelter(in October of 2020), we had been taking it slow to get to know Kiki and thats just what shes been looking for! She now has quite the volunteer fan base! Kiki becomes more and more affectionate as she gets to know you. Once away from the stressful kennels, she is sweet and very easy to walk on leash. Kiki prefers to keep it chill, and she likes humans who do the same. She would make a great companion. Once she has her human friends she is extremely LOYAL. She has been an excellent sleepover and outings partner with a staff member. Kiki loves car rides and would be a fun road trip buddy. She weighs approximately 50 lbs. and needs to lose about 8 pounds, so a she would love an adopter that can give her an active lifestyle with many walks included. Might you be able to offer this little lady a new leash on life? Reach out to us today to meet Kiki! ***Kiki is currently in foster and if you would like to learn more about her, you can email woof@girlandthedog.com or take a peek at girl_and_the_dog account on Instagram for more pictures and to see what we are currently up to! The Orange Dot Crew (a volunteer advocacy group at Austin Animal Center) will be there every step of the way to make sure that your new pet is set up for success with their new family.
