Description:
Isabel A344277 is a sweet girl with a story to tell. Isabel A344277 came in on 2/10/22 as a stray due to a bite incident and was evaluated by our team and moved out to our general population after her quarantine period ended. She is aged as a 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Isabel has a very distinctive scar running down the length of her back. Her scar is a result of improper care that left her with a sunburn. She will have to live with the scar for the rest of her life, but she doesnt let that stop her from being the sweetest pup to our staff and has become one of our favorites to love on. Summer in Texas is a fun time for families and pets to be out in the sun and playing, but protection from the suns harmful rays is just as important for your furry family as it is for you. Without shade, breaks from the heat and sun, UV blocking clothing, and even specifically made for dog sunscreen (human sunscreen can be toxic to dogs), your pet could be at risk for sunburns like Isabel. Isabel can be dog reactive while walking past the kennels. She was in our Dogs Play for Life Program but was only socialized with males. She did well with the males but is conflict driven. We are excited to announce that we will be participating in BISSELL Pet Foundations #EmptyTheShelters Event here at Corpus Christi Animal Care Services! Isabel is a pet that will have her adoption fee waived during this event! We will be running this event here at our facility from October 1st 8th
