Winnie is 1.5 -2 yrs old, 45lbs, has plenty of energy and loves to run and play in the yard and really looks forward to her daily walks. The word that describes Winnie the most is: sweetness. Winnie arrived as a stray in the Summer of 2021 and was very timid at first. She is sometimes still easily spooked at loud or unfamiliar noises or fast movements but has learned to trust people and she loves to snuggle with her humans on the sofa or bed in the evenings.

Winnie is 100% house trained, has never tried to chew things that dont belong to her or get into the trash. She loves having a fenced in backyard where she can chase squirrels, play fetch with a tennis ball, or just take in some sun.

Shes very trainable and already knows a broad vocabulary of commands, including: come, sit, stay, lie down, leave it, walk, kennel up, eat?, lets go!, you wanna go out?, inside, give me a kiss, to name a few.

Although Winnie is staying in a house with cats and other dogs right now we recommend Winnie not live with cats, dogs or young children as it would be best for Winnie to be the only pet in the home.**BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA**
