5 and a half year old, 55 lb. female
Mixed Breed
Dogs: Lizzie doesn’t want to have dog friends. While she doesn’t want to socialize with dogs, she isn’t reactive toward them when on walks in the park. She says she is far too mature for that and keeps her distance.
Cats: No cats
Petfinder recently changed their settings to only allow Yes or No for house training. Lizzies house training is unknown. We have not seen Lizzie in a home setting.

Lizzie’s favorite activities are snuggling, eating, playing, repeat!

She knows how to sit and is very food motivated. If you have a treat for her, she sits and looks up at you intently with her ears sticking straight up.

Lizzie likes to be outside playing with a toy, sunbathing, or getting belly rubs from her favorite volunteers. She is a 55 lb. lap dog who is very loyal and affectionate toward her favorite people.

Volunteers enjoy walking Lizzie because she just trots along and enjoys the scenery.

We do not adopt on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family, although we will factor in the order of applications if there are equally good matches.

Our adoption fee for adult dogs is $450 which covers the costs of vetting (spay, vaccinations, heartworm testing, preventatives while in our care, deworming and microchip) and any boarding or transport fees incurred in each dogs rescue. Senior dogs are $250.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
