Foster update! Mya needs a home ? Yaya (weve been calling her Mya. People always looked at us like we were nuts when we would tell them her name?) Female 5 years old, 50 lbs Pit bull mix Tiniest little ears and feeties and just the cutest girl! Weve been fostering Mya for about 3 months now. Needed to figure out what was going on with her heart and lungs before pushing her for adoption, but this sweet girl deserves a home of her own where she can get all of the love and attention she deserves. Mya was a Texas girl. Heartworm positive when Karina rescued her, of course. She was treated through rescue, but not before the disease affected her heart and lungs. Because of this, Mya will probably need to be on Sildenafil longterm. Mya takes her medicine like a champ and she is otherwise a happy, healthy, needy, cuddly, in your personal space pitty. She would do best in a home with older children since shes kind of a mini bulldozer and she absolutely should not go to a home with small dogs or cats. Our girl likes to chase. She was labeled no other dogs in the shelter, but I think she would like a submissive playmate that respects her being in charge. She is a little ball of energy but settles nicely after a short walk or a game of fetch and would love it if her foster brother Sparky would get on her play level, but hes just not about that life ?
