Description:
Meet Sugar, a 35-lb, Female, American Pit Bull Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix who was born around October 2021.

She is deaf but is able to follow a few hand signals.

She is house trained and will alert you by walking in circles. She is kennel trained and will need a good bone to chew on to help keep her occupied while in the kennel.

She is a medium energy pet. She is good with medium to large size dogs with the same energy level as she has. She does not mind cat’s but will tend to follow them and if they run around, she will do the same with them. She is good with older children. She would do well in a home with a canine friend in an apartment or a house.

Sugar is a sweet loveable puppy who enjoys playing until she gets tired, she does not jump and does have balance issues due to her deafness. She enjoys going on walks and has gotten use to having a leash on her. She loves to run as long as it is not a marathon. She loves to play fetch and enjoys discovering new places but will be a little anxious at first. Sugar loves to find new things to chew on so everything must be thought of as a potential chew toy and needs to be guarded and instruction given to Sugar if that is not the “chew” toy you want her to play with. This includes things inside the home and out. At this time Sugar has to have rubber strong toys as she has torn apart several Plush toys given to her except the strong rubber ones. Sugar loves to sleep with her fosters but will sleep under a good table that has something soft for her to rest on and is slowly learning to sleep through the night but still working on it. She will use a cloth pee pad in case no one wakes up in time for her to use the restroom.
