As you can see, Skylar has been through more than most. This poor 2yr old girl was starved by her family before they finally dropped her off at a vet office. At first we hoped maybe Skylar had a medical condition and the family didn’t know what to do (not that it’s ok to let a pup get that bad, as it doesn’t happen overnight) but upon bloodwork and physical findings it was determined Skylar was simply not being fed. She spent several days recovering at a veterinary hospital before moving into a foster home. Skylar has gained weight, had surgery on a bad hip, and is finally ready to find her forever home! She deserves only the best after all she’s been through. Skylar is a very loving, affectionate, energetic dog. She loves attention and will do best in a home where someone is with her more often than not, a family or person that can properly get her energy out. She is dog selective, and may do better with larger dogs. She is not aggressive towards cats, but she will try to play with them and doesn’t understand to back off when they smack and hiss, so if you have a kitty at home it would be best if they were confident and if her new family could help teach her boundaries with cats. She loves to be doted upon, and is going to be a great dog for a loving family. Someone who will appreciate her and never let her experience neglect again.
