Description:
“Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. Its what sunflowers do."

Vi knows this quote is as true as the flower! Vi is a 4.5 year old pit mix with quite the story to tell, yet she keeps it a secret as she lifts her face to the sunshine.

Prior to being saved, Vi was found as a stray with a prior fracture to her jaw. It is healed and does not cause her any problems but can be felt and seen to be abnormal. The vets believed she was hit or kicked hard or with an item to cause this type of direct impact fracture. When one of our shelter partners were looking at dogs to save, they came upon Vi. She was terrified at the shelter. She defecated on herself out of fear. She shook in her paws. She didn’t know what to do anymore, people had broken her trust.

After some time in a foster home Vi quickly came around. Now she’s been living the life of luxury for a few months and has learned to love again. Vi is such a great dog! She is housebroken. She will chase a cat but hasn’t hurt them, we think she just wants to play. She doesn’t play with other dogs but is absolutely fine with them around. Maybe someday she will find her bestie again. She loves kids. Vi is quick to roll over for belly rubs and scratches. She loves everyone’s attention!

Vi needs a home where she can call her own forever. This angel doesn’t deserve another question of what, who and where she belongs.

Vi is currently in foster care with kids, cats and dogs. If you are interested in meeting her the first step is to complete an adoption application.
