Say hello to Dottie! Dottie is a gorgeous 1 year old pocket pittie with enough rambunctious cuteness to melt anyones heart! This gorgeous girl will draw you in with her dual colored eyes and fun personality, but needs an active and adventurous home to keep up with her! Dottie is currently in a foster home in the greater Seattle area and is available for meet and greets with approved adopters! To be considered, please fill out an application: www.doggedly.org/adoption-app Dottie was found wandering the streets of Texas by a Good Samaritan. They were able to catch her and reached out to Doggedly to see if we could help! One of our volunteers was able to foster her for a short time before finding a permanent foster in Houston, where she has started to blossom! Now this sweet girl is ready to find her forever home in the Pacific Northwest. Dottie is a high energy pup who loves to run! She would do great with an active family who loves to hike, go on daily walks/runs and bring her along for all their adventures! Dottie is a lot of fun and would thrive in an active home with bully breed experience. Dottie loves to run and chase, loves getting hosed down on hot days, and loves to lay out in the sun. Dottie is a big-time snuggler. She is extremely people oriented and would love nothing more to snuggle with her human in bed, hang out on the couch with a bone and chill when she is at home. Dottie loves to explore, and loves to investigate! When not kenneled, she will need durable fencing, so she does not go on her own little adventure. She is very intelligent and resourceful pup who knows how to open sliding doors, doors with pull-down handles, and doors with latches. She needs a home with training experience, who can properly expend her energy by keeping her physically and mentally stimulated by both training and activity. Dottie has had a long journey with the rescue. In Houston, Dottie lived in a foster home with 2 small dogs, kids and a senior cat. With slow decompression, she did wonderful with the pack, but once she traveled to the Pacific Northwest, Dottie had some instability and bounced from home to home. She was placed with an experienced foster several months ago to attend professional training. Dottie has thrived and is now ready to find the perfect forever home who can continue the work we have put into helping Dottie live her best life. Dottie is excellent with people, but can be a little nervous with other dogs at first introduction. Dottie needs to sniff and get comfortable with other dogs for a few days before she can be calm and playful with them. Dottie does best with calmer, older, large male dogs that can match her strength. There is some resource-guarding around meal time, so feeding her in her kennel is recommended. Dottie is potty trained, and doing great with basic commands and leash training. Dottie is a pup who will need lots of mental enrichment from her people or she may exhibit some naughty puppy behaviors like chewing, but with continued training and some patience she will continue to mature into an amazing girl! Dottie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention. The only thing she is missing is you! If youre interested in this stunning girl apply to bring her home today.
