A note from Willow ....
Well hello there -- my name is Willow! Im so excited your here and hope we can be best friends. According to the Lucky Dog staff, Im such a big lump of love. I dont know what that means but I do know that I love nothing more than getting pets and love from all humans I meet! I have the biggest smile afterwards - so much so that my tongue flies out to the side - it always makes my human chuckle and I just love making them happy. You can kind of see it on my pictures but its best in live action when you meet me!
Dont worry, I love my fellow doggo friends too! Ive been to daycare daily and dog parks twice daily and always had an amazing time! I love to run around, meet new friends, sniff all the smells, and of course get scratches from all the humans. I hope that my next home lets me go to daycare or dog parks every day, but I promise Ill sleep really well when I come home so they can have a cuddle buddy as a thank you!!
Ive been told Id make a great adventure partner too, but I havent been on too many of those yet. I do love the car but sometimes I get a bit excited so I need to be strapped in, but then I sit like the humans in my seat! Maybe thats how we go on adventures?
Ive seen so many of my doggo friends get adopted, and I just want to find my forever home too! Is it you???? I hope it is!! If so, reach out to the Lucky Dog team - they can tell you even more about me or set up a way for us to meet - how fun would that be!
What My Foster Says About Me: Willow remains a total sweetheart with tons of energy. I have been taking her to the dog park twice a day. She does well there but definitely needs playmates who match her puppy-like energy. Shes perfectly well behaved in the house and very communicative of her needs (stands by the door when she needs to go out, sits by the food bowl when its dinner time etc.).
Foster update 9/19! Willow seems to have settled in completely at this point and totally made herself at home. Shes her full bundle of energy on walks and spurts throughout the day, but has also been pretty consistent about staying right beside me and even stops pulling on the leash completely for long segments of our walks (until theres a squirrel or bird that needs darting at, of course). We also did a ~4 mile run yesterday down to the Mall which she seemed to LOVE, and she was over the top sweet with any humans that wanted to say hi to her! She loves sniffing around the park, is obsessed with her pineapple, frog toy and snuffle mat, seems to be captivated by the TV, and is one of the sweetest cuddle bugs Ive ever met! Shes already earned her right to stay out of the crate and roam when I leave the condo - Willow seems to leave shoes, furniture, etc. alone completely and snooze hard on the couch when she has the opportunity. Were taking full advantage of a dog park that empties out completely after about 8:30 pm each night, where shes been proudly showing off her fetch skills and getting her last zoomies out for the day.

Willow truly is such a sweetheart and I am blown away by how calm and gentle she is much of the day. She seems to adapt quickly to unfamiliar noises and spaces and the love and attention she gives is off the charts precious!!
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
