#### Sweet as honey, honey catches more flies than vinegar, honey makes all food better...so many similes and proverbial sayings for honey! Our sweet Honey girl is a 8 year old miniature poodle with an adorable smile!

Honey loves to be around other dogs and to play outside. She gets so excited to see her friends in the yard that her little tail wags and wags. She seems more comfortable in smaller, quieter playgroups, so shell do best in a quiet home.

This Lil Bit of Honey is 10 pounds. She has started to take treats that her human friends toss to her! The key for working with super shy dogs is to let them set the pace so we are working on Honeys timeline. Our dogs have so many new experiences when they come to our rescue, some just need more time to adjust and that is a-okay.

Honey is waiting for a quiet and patient adult family who will allow her to be the pace setter. She needs a more confident dog of a similar size to help her continue to grow and at least a 4 foot fence for safe outside play. She has started learning how to walk on a leash but is still a rookie. With the right family, we believe that someday, her family will come home and say, "Honey, Im home" and they will see that little tail wag with glee.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. Many of our dogs will need fenced yards and a confident dog in the family. The great news is, many of these dogs come around with time, and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
